Tulip Festival

A couple of days ago my husband and I went on a mini roadtrip to the Skagit Tulip Festival here in Washington. I have been wanting to visit this place ever since I moved to Seattle. There are 2 massive fields of tulips. The festival welcomes hundreds and hundreds of people every year in April.

I wanted to share some of the pictures I captured. It was truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

The Happiest Place on Earth

Hey everyone! I wanted to give a quick recap on my awesome trip to Disneyland. My little sister and I went to celebrate her 15th birthday. We had such a blast! I thought my outfits and makeup were worthy of a blog post.

It was a really fun short trip. We went to both Disneyland Parks the first two days and Newport Beach on the 3rd. I thought I would share a few pictures of my outfits and makeup.

We had a 6am flight so we decided to just get ready at the airport when we arrived.

I really enjoyed my makeup this day! I went with bronze-y eyeshadow and eyeliner. I also really wanted to mention this new lipstick. It’s from the UD Gwen Stefani Collection. I’ve always loved Gwen’s signature red lip, so when I saw this in store I knew I had to have it.

Face and Eyes: Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua foundation, Too Faced Chocolate bronzer, Becca Wild Honey blush, MUFE Pro Sculpting Duo 2 (eyes and cheeks), KVD tattoo liner.

Lips: MUFE 8C lip liner, UD Gwen 714 lipstick. The lipstick has a super matte texture. It reminds me of the MAC retro matte finish. It’s kind of tough to apply but it does last all day.

I loved my outfit this day! It was St. Patrick’s Day and I didn’t have any bright green, so I went with the next best thing, olive. Almost everything is from Forever 21.

I pretty much did the same makeup look this day. I used Dose of Colors Truffle on my lips.

Five Little Faves

This view and this place is my ultimate favorite right now.  

I just got back from a wonderful vacation in Honolulu. We stayed on Waikiki Beach. It was honestly the most beautiful place I have ever been! Here are some of my current favorites.


Since I always seem to lose my sunglasses while on vacation, I decided to purchase some cheap ones. I purchased these on Amazon.com. I am OBSESSED with these sunglasses. I love the silver mirror and the aviator style. I don’t mind spending eight bucks again if I lose these.


These two products have been my go-to for foundation. I’ve had the DiorSkin Nude BB Cream for ages, but I never used it because I felt it was too orange and too dark. I purchased the Cover FX Drops a few months back. I came up with the idea to mix them… GENIUS! The drops adjust the color perfectly and gives me a flawless yet natural look. However, I do hate the Cover FX packaging. Super messy.


I mentioned this lipstick in my most recent Shade of the Day. It is my current favorite nude lippy.


I feel this hat is appropriate to be my favorite because I wore it everyday on vacation. I was on the hunt for the perfect hat for this trip. I went to so many stores and ended up finding this one at Forever 21. I like because it’s a little floppy and not super stiff.

Since I am leaving to Las Vegas tonight, I figured it would be a good idea to show you what makeup I’m traveling with. I did pack a little bit more than usual, but I mean c’mon, its Vegas! The bag I use is from the Sephora Collection and it’s called “The Weekender.” I like it because it has several compartments so it is very easy to keep everything organized.

In the bottom of the palette I have two highlights and one contour shade from ABH Contour Kit. I will also be taking the MAC Cinderella Glitter Pigment.

Last but not least are my lipsticks. This is always the toughest thing to decide when packing. They are usually the first and last thing I pack. And please tell me I’m not the only one that chooses an outfit based on what lipstick you really want to wear. I still don’t know which ones I will be using so I have to take plenty of options. Duh!

Portland Getaway

My husband and I decided to go on a little road trip to Portland for Valentine’s Day.

I started my day off with an iced coffee and a protein pack from Starbucks. We arrived to Portland around 3pm and headed straight to the food carts downtown. We ended up going to Brunch Box which is known for amazing sandwiches. My husband and I decided to share the YouCanHasCheeseburger. Boy, let me tell you this thing was UHHH-mazing! It was basically a bacon cheeseburger in between two Texas toast grilled cheese sandwiches. Did your mouth just water or did you just have a heart attack? Because I think I just had both.

We walked around for a little bit then we stumbled upon the infamous Voodoo Doughnuts. I really didn’t care to go to this place because I honestly thought it was overrated, but we decided to go ahead and give it a shot. We waited in line for about 20 minutes. We got 2 of the Bacon Maple Bars (duh!) and one of The Loop. I actually ended up being really impressed and thought they were pretty yummy. Very sweet, but the actual doughnut part had a really nice texture and flavor.

I wanted to buy a new phone so we went to the mall and later went to a restaurant called The Blind Onion. We had a half pepperoni and jalapeños and half Carnivore pizza. These pizzas were so delicious and I’ve got to say this place is very generous with their toppings!

I was feeling a little adventurous so I got purple!

The next day we went to Best Buy and Sports Authority. My husband got a GoPro and I got a couple pairs of my favorite workout pants, Nike Legend 2.0. They were twenty percent off so I couldn’t say no!
