This post is wayyyy overdue. Several months ago I received a gift card to Nordstrom. I somehow used it all on MAC products. I’m not sure what came over me because I normally don’t buy MAC. I do love their lip pencils and matte lipsticks.
Strobe Cream– I used to hear really good things about this product so I’m excited to try it. I love me some dewy skin! I purchased the travel size.
Fix + I have never tried this product. I couldn’t help myself because the travel size is so cute. I figured I could use this to spray on my brushes.
Lip Pencil in Dervish– The only nude pencil from MAC I have is Whirl. I wanted something less mauve and more pinky nude. I think this was a good pick!
Lip Pencil in Nightingale– This is such a beautiful plum color. I am so excited to wear this on its own.
Lip Pencil in Burgundy– I had such a hard time deciding between this or Vino. Burgundy has more of a red/brown undertone and that’s what I was looking for.
Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipstick– I’ve purchased the Viva Glam lipsticks for a while now. I’ve been meaning to pick this one up but I just hadn’t gotten around to it. It’s a pretty pink color with an amplified finish.
Nightingale, Burgundy, Dervish

One day I was snooping around on social media, I saw that a few limited edition items were in stock, so of course I made a purchase.
Fix + Lavender– Everyone and their momma were going crazy over these. Of course I felt the need to want it as well. I have used this a few times and it feels amazing. I love the lavender scent.
Giambattista Valli Lipsticks in EugenieandCharlotte–This is another collection everyone went nuts for. I can’t lie… The packaging is beautiful. I wasn’t very interested in this collection, but after seeing it in person I fell in love.
Let’s start off with the most exciting purchase…. The new Becca Highlight in Champagne Pop. This highlight is everything! It’s pretty close to being my favorite. Jaclyn Hill did an amazing job creating this highlight. I think it definitely suits all skin types. It has a gold tone with a little pinch of peach.
I ran out of my second ABH Brow Wiz and decided I was done purchasing it (again). I just cant justify repurchasing this because it runs out too fast. I decided to go online and check out all of the brow products available. This one had lots of great reviews so I decided to give it a go. It’s more expensive than Anastasia but I’m willing to purchase if it lasts longer. So far I am really liking it!
This is a new product from the Sephora Collection. For $14 I figured it was worth a shot trying. Its supposed to be a lightweight buildable concealer. I purchased the color Medium-07 Custard and Tan-14 Toffee. Custard is a little too light for me right now. I think it would be perfect for highlighting or a winter concealer. I purchased Toffee to contour with and I think its gonna be perfect!
Since I made a few orders, I was able to get some pretty good deluxe size samples. They always get me with those emails!
I got the color Sand since it was the only color left. I think it may be a tad too dark for me but I still make it work. I have been wearing this foundation almost everyday. I will have a review in my next blog post but so far I am loving it.
I was very intrigued by this product. It’s “an illuminating primer that blurs imperfections and boosts the radiance of foundation.” It has a silicone texture with tiny gold shimmers–very interesting. I am looking forward to trying this product.
This is another product I’m excited to try. It’s MUFE’s newest foundation. I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of the original HD foundation. I tried it out several times and it just didn’t work. This one is supposed to give a natural yet flawless finish. We’ll just see about that!
Stayed tuned for reviews on most of these products! I’m also expecting a couple more exciting packages! Eeeeek!
You did it again Sephora… You got me again! I think I am good for spring and summer. I am going to “try” not to make any purchases until the next VIB sale. I also purchased the Marc Jacobs eyeliner and NARS lipstick in Greta. Check out my wish list here.
I just can’t… I ‘m so excited to use this while I’m in Mexico!
Dr. Jart+ | Dermaclear Micro Water– I’ve been doing a horrible job at washing my face after using a makeup remover wipe. This claims to remove makeup as well as tone and brighten skin.
Cover FX | Custom Cover Drops in G40- I was very intrigued when I came across this online. It’s basically pigments that can be mixed with a moisturizer, primer, or a foundation. The more drops you add the more coverage you will get. I have used this once with my moisturizer and I liked it!
I purchased the NAR Ita brush a while back and ended up returning it. I don’t think it was worth the money for the amount of contouring I do. I have other brushes that are just as good or even better to contour with.
I also wanted to mention I will be returning the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks I mentioned in my previous post. Like I mentioned in my post I prefer the NARS Audacious. It takes at least three coats for the CT lipsticks to be opaque and I’m not about that life so they are going back.
Thank you for reading! I would love to know what purchases you made!
Last month I made a couple of trips to Sephora. I received a gift card for Christmas so I decided to use that up. I knew Tarte had come out with a new liner so I wanted to try it out. I also wanted to check out the new Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stains. The YSL gloss was totally an impulse buy. The second time I went to Sephora, I only had the intention of buying a brush cleanser, and I ended up leaving with the new Kat Von D Contour Palette (typical me).
I have used the Tarteiest Liner a few times and so far I really like it. Reasons why I like it: super matte, long-lasting, price is reasonable ($24) including brush, and the brush is fairly easy to use. The packaging is okay. The first time I used it, I squeezed the tube too hard, and a little blob came out. I learned my lesson after that so I just started dipping the brush into the tube.
Sephora Collection came out with new shades of their Cream Lip Stains not long ago. I really wanted to get Marvelous Mauve but of course it was sold out. The only color in stock that stood out to me was African Violet so I decided to snatch it since it was the last one. I already own a couple other of these lips stains. They aren’t my favorite formula but for the price ($13) they are well worth it! They are long-lasting but they do transfer and crease a little bit. I still have my eye on Marvelous Mauve and Watermelon Slice. I would definitely recommend Strawberry Kissed.
Every time I go to Sephora I cannot help but to stop and just drool over YSL cosmetics. They have the most beautiful packaging ever. I decided to get one of the new Volupte Tint-In-Oil in the color Rose You. It’s supposed to be a very hydrating oil with a little tint. I really liked the way it felt when I tried it on my hand so that’s why I decided to go ahead and purchase it. It is very hydrating and feels great on the lips. However, I may be returning because I don’t think it’s worth the price of $32.
Last but not least is the Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette. I knew I wanted this the second I saw it on Kat Von D’s instagram a while back. I held back on purchasing because I have the Anastasia Contour Kit but of course I couldn’t help myself. I’ve only used it once and so far I’m really impressed. All of the colors are very pigmented and very easy to blend. I plan on doing a full review for it soon so stay tuned for that!
